TEXTBOOK PURCHASES/RENTALS
Customer service is our focus at the SWAU Bookstore. The reason is because it sets us apart. We know which books you need, and we pull them for you to make your book buying experience as easy and painless as possible.
LOW PRICE GUARANTEE & PRICE MATCHING
We are proud to say that we price every single book by hand to make sure that we have the guaranteed lowest prices in town. If you happen to find a lower price at a local vendor that beats our price, bring it to our attention, and we guarantee to beat it. We also work very hard to make our pricing competitive with online sellers like Amazon and Chegg. We know it's easy for students to shop online, and work hard to make sure our prices fall in line with other online vendors. If you find a cheaper price online, let us do our best to earn your business by comparing prices. Nine times out of ten, we are able to match or beat any price you find. If you find a price you like better online, bring it in store, and one of our managers will make sure we do our best to get you the best possible price!
ORDERING ONLINE
We understand going to an actual bookstore isn't for everyone. Avoid the crowds and order online! If you want to save money on shipping, select "in-store pickup" when placing your order, and come grab it from us without any additional cost to you. After the first day of school, reserves will only be held for 48 hours.
DEFERRED PAYMENT OPTION
We know that bills stack up for students at the beginning of each semester, and because of that have tailored a Buy or Rent Now, Pay Later program to help ease that pain for our customers. By choosing our Deferred Payment option, students are allowed to buy or rent their course materials any time before or during the semester, take them that same day free of charge, and pay us at a later date (deferred payments are generally due two or three weeks after the start of each semester). Students who are waiting on financial aid, a parent to send them funds, or next week's paycheck are examples of those that may take advantage of the deferred payment option. Please give us a call or email us with any questions or concerns regarding deferred payment.
Below are more specific details regarding the deferred payment agreement:
1). Bookstore agrees not to process this payment until date established at checkout .
2). Customer agrees to pay the outstanding balance on or before the due date.
3). In the event of non-payment, customer also authorizes the bookstore to collect the deferred balance with the method of payment left on file at the time of purchase.
4). All deferred payments must be paid in full by the end of the purchasing semester. No balance shall be carried over past the end of the semester and any remaining balance will be subject to being charged off to an outside collections company.
5). By signing or entering credit card information on our website, customer acknowledges that the credit/debit card left on file may be automatically charged any amount, up to the total balance owed, on any day after JANUARY 17TH, 2025 and customer agrees not to dispute the charge for any reason. In the event of a dispute, customer will be liable for all fees associated with the dispute and agrees to have them automatically added to my balance.

F.I.R.S.T. RENTAL PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The F.I.R.S.T. Rental Program provides comprehensive coverage for all required textbooks and course materials for the current term. Any changes or additions made by the professor to the course materials will also be included. If you add, drop, or change a course, please contact the bookstore to confirm whether you need to pick up additional books or return any materials.
Digital codes and software delivered through our Inclusive Access program are fully covered under the F.I.R.S.T. Rental Program and will not incur any additional costs.
Students may opt out of the F.I.R.S.T. Rental Program until the Sunday before classes begin, provided they have not yet picked up their books. Once a student collects their Rental Program book package from the bookstore, they acknowledge and agree to the Rental Program charge of $351.82, which will be applied to their student account.
Students who have already picked up their books will not be eligible to opt out of the program.
The bookstore will defer processing any Rental Program charges until the second week of the Fall or Spring term.
After the opt-out deadline (the Sunday before classes start), students must obtain special permission from the bookstore to withdraw from the Rental Program. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be approved or denied accordingly.
NON-RETURNED RENTALS/COURSE MATERIALS:
ALL rental textbooks/course materials are due back to the bookstore on the last day of each term. The bookstore may offer a grace period but that is up to our discretion.
There will be a $10 late fee per book for anything returned after the due date unless otherwise stated by the bookstore.
Customers who do not return their rentals/course materials by the due date for each semester are subject to being charge the full replacement costs to the card on file with the bookstore. If there is not a valid card on file, a hold will be put on your student account and will NOT be removed until ALL overdue rentals are returned and paid the late fee's.
30 days after the initial due date, ALL students that have overdue rentals/course materials will be turned over to our collection agency.
