Textbooks, packages, & access codes

RETURN POLICY:
Students are able to return textbooks and course material for a refund for full purchase price, WITH RECEIPT, up until, BUT NOT AFTER 

SWAU SPRING SEMESTER: JANUARY 10TH, 2025 BY 2PM

RENTAL RETURNS ARE DUE ON THE LAST DAY OF CLASS FOR EACH TERM.

SWAU SPRING SEMESTER: APRIL 30TH, 2025

NO RETURNS will be allowed after these dates, for FULL CREDIT. New books must remain in NEW CONDITION. If a book was sold in shrink wrap it must remain in shrink wrap, even if the book was sold in error, in order to get a full refund. Books must also be free of markings, soil, or scratches. Books that were not in stock and prepaid for by customers will only be credited for a full refund if the bookstore is contacted by the customer to cancel the order and refund the transaction on or before the above dates.  

Customers are responsible for providing their most up to date contact information even if information changes mid-semester. This is included, but not limited to an email, a phone number, and an address.

A completed transaction authorizes email, text, and phone call reminders for prepaid books, rental returns, deferred payments, and promotional offers from SWAU Campus Bookstore. 

F.I.R.S.T. Rental Program Terms & Conditions

The F.I.R.S.T. Rental Program provides comprehensive coverage for all required textbooks and course materials for the current term. Any changes or additions made by the professor to the course materials will also be included. If you add, drop, or change a course, please contact the bookstore to confirm whether you need to pick up additional books or return any materials.

Digital codes and software delivered through our Inclusive Access program are fully covered under the F.I.R.S.T. Rental Program and will not incur any additional costs.

Students may opt out of the F.I.R.S.T. Rental Program until the Sunday before classes begin, provided they have not yet picked up their books. Once a student collects their Rental Program book package from the bookstore, they acknowledge and agree to the Rental Program charge of $351.82, which will be applied to their student account.

Students who have already picked up their books will not be eligible to opt out of the program.

The bookstore will defer processing any Rental Program charges until the second week of the Fall or Spring term.

After the opt-out deadline (the Sunday before classes start), students must obtain special permission from the bookstore to withdraw from the Rental Program. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be approved or denied accordingly.

Merchandise and gifts
These items may be refunded within 10 days or exchanged within 30 days of the original purchase date. All items must be in original/unopened packaging with the tags still attached.

Computer 
These items must be UNOPENED,UNUSED and returned within 10 days of the original purchase date for a refund. All opened computers and software are non-returnable.

eBooks
These items must be returned within the same window as Textbooks. Cengage Unlimited and other Access Codes are NON-REFUNDABLE once the access code has been redeemed.

Shipping
Any shipping charges are non-refundable.
